About Mark Hubis

Photographer since my teens, practicing engineer and businessman since college.  I'm an American and have lived a large portion of my life outside the US. 

Learned photography the old, wet way, took a break when I lost access to my darkroom, and came back when digital really started to work.

Under safelights back then, on the screen now,  nothing thrills me like a simple, strong image.  I take satisfaction in helping people with my work, be it a start in their career, a boost to their self-confidence, a shoot for a non-profit, or simply a picture that makes them smile--or maybe even think.   

I choose my assignments and work free of charge--it's my way of giving back.
